(AGES FOUR AND UP)
Our ukulele instructors teach folk, country, reggae and rock-n-roll styles — and classical too. Beginners work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory, and ends with something fun – such as your favorite riff or song. We employ a variety of ukulele method books based on student needs and preferences, and encourage students to bring smartphones or CDs to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes.

Encore Music offers ukuleles for student lessons (for your convenience, students can use one of ours at their first lesson). But to practice at home, you will need a ukulele. There are a variety of instruments appropriate for beginners, starting at just $40.00.
Are there performances?
Absolutely! Every December and May, our students have the opportunity to perform on a large stage. We do not sell tickets to performances, so you can invite all of your family and friends. We offer many other performance opportunities throughout the year including community events, senior living homes, and local coffee shops.
