Overview

Whether you aspire to play in your school band or simply for yourself, Encore's dedicated flute instructors will help you become the flautist you want to be. Our faculty will introduce you to the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You do not need a flute for your first lessons, your instructor will help find the right flute for your needs.

Our flute instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student and parent on a personal level. We work with each individual or parent to craft a lesson plan that fits the student’s unique needs and favorite type of music. Whether you're playing in your school band, a seven year old taking their first lesson, or a fifty year old returning to the flute after many years, our teachers will share their love for the flute and help you set goals to achieve your musical aspirations.

What styles of flute do you teach?
We teach all styles, focusing on a strong foundation and building your breath support to develop a good tone. We have students who do music exam programs and students who play in their school band.
How qualified are Encore's flute instructors?
Our flute faculty and music instructors have received their musical education from such prestigious institutions as New York University, Indiana University, the Berklee College of Music, Oxford University, University of Southern California, Eastman School of Music, and many other wonderful programs. Many have toured the US and Europe, bringing an abundance of performance and recording experience to your lessons. But most importantly, they are all engaging educators!
What will I learn from flute lessons at Encore?
Our teachers are dedicated to helping you become the flautist you want to be. They will show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique and theory, and incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons.
Do I have to know how to read music?
No. Total beginners are welcome!
Do I need a flute to learn the instrument?
Encore Music offers flutes for student lessons (for your convenience, students can use one of ours at their first lesson). But to practice at home, you will need a flute. There are beginner flutes available to purchase starting at just $100.00. Please consult with your instructor before purchasing so they can guide you to the proper instrument for your level.
Are there flute recitals?
Absolutely! Every Winter and Spring, our students have the opportunity to perform on a large stage. We do not sell tickets to performances, so you can invite all of your family and friends. We offer many other performance opportunities throughout the year including community events, senior living homes, and local coffee shops.

Lessons are available six days a week, and scheduled once a week. There is an annual registration fee that covers teacher background checks, security, instrument tunings, maintenance and repairs, and motivational trophies, prizes and wristbands.

Piano Lessons
Whether you aspire to play Bach or Alicia Keys, Encore's dedicated piano instructors will help you become the pianist you want to be.
Ukulele Lessons
Our ukulele instructors teach folk, country, reggae and rock-n-roll styles — and classical too.
Flute Lessons
Whether playing in the school band or a first time learner we will help you get a good sound!
Voice & Singing
If you've always wanted to hone your skills as a rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel or R&B singer, Encore has the voice teacher for you.
Drum Lessons
We have the drum kit and the instructors, all you need are drumsticks and practice pad to get started at home!
Group Classes
Group Piano for ages 4-6, Ukulele, Rock Bands, Voice and Show Choir- Learning together is fun!
Guitar & Bass
Our guitar instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical styles on both electric and acoustic guitars.
Violin & Viola Lessons
Our string instructors teach young beginners to experienced players- classical, pop, and fiddle too!
The Music Room
An exclusive program, for ages 4 months - 4 years old, offers music education tailored to your child's development and age and is a fun way to connect with your child.
